Terms & Conditions of Use

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the App and the Site. By downloading, installing or using IgniteClean, you represent that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part, do not download, install or use the App.

Please pay special attention to Section 5 (Use at your own risk) and Section 8 (Limitation of liability), as they describe important risks and limit our legal liability.

1. Definitions

To keep things clear:

• “App”: the IgniteClean software for macOS, including its modules, updates and documentation.
• “User Content”: the files, data and settings residing on your Mac.
• “Modules”: the App’s individual tools (Smart Care, Deep Clean, Applications, Space, Protection and Duplicates).
• “Trash”: the macOS Trash, where macOS temporarily keeps files before their permanent deletion.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

To use the App you must be of legal age in your country of residence (or 18 years old, whichever is greater) and have the legal capacity to accept these Terms. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

3. License to use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a free, personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable license to install and use the App on Mac computers that you own or legitimately control.

The App is free. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms. This license does not transfer ownership of the App or any of its components to you.

4. Description of the service

IgniteClean is a maintenance and storage-reclaiming utility for macOS. Its modules help you locate, review and delete items on your Mac:

• Smart Care: fast maintenance that prioritizes low-risk caches and temporary files.
• Deep Clean: detection of system junk and large files to reclaim space.
• Applications: uninstalling apps along with their support files and hidden leftovers.
• Space: a visual breakdown of which folders take up the most storage.
• Protection: clearing activity traces (recent files, browsing history, saved windows).
• Duplicates: identifying identical files by content so you keep one copy and delete the rest.

The App shows you the candidate items and, whenever possible, lets you review them and choose what to keep. The final decision to delete is always yours.

5. Use at your own risk — Important notice

The App deletes files from your Mac. A deletion may be irreversible. Although we designed IgniteClean to operate carefully and, where possible, move items to the Trash rather than deleting them immediately, you are solely responsible for deciding what to delete and for the consequences of that decision.

Before using any module, it is your responsibility to keep up-to-date backups of your information (for example, with Time Machine or an external copy). In particular, note that:

• Applications may remove support files, licenses or settings associated with an app.
• Protection permanently erases histories and activity traces that cannot be recovered.
• Duplicates compares content, not names; keeping the wrong copy is your decision.
• Deep Clean and Smart Care act on caches and temporary files; some apps may take longer to reopen after their caches are cleared.

We are not responsible for any loss of data, files, settings, licenses or any damage arising from your use of the App, including deletions performed by you through the tool. You use IgniteClean at your own risk.

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Keep backups of your information before deleting anything.
• Review the items proposed by the App before confirming a deletion.
• Use the App only on computers you own or legitimately control.
• Comply with applicable laws and with these Terms.

7. No warranties

The App and the Site are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including —without limitation— warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the App will meet your expectations. We do not warrant that the App will recover a specific amount of space or that it is compatible with every version of macOS or all hardware.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ignite Web Studio and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, nor for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill or business interruption, arising out of or related to the use of or inability to use the App, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the full exclusion of liability, our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the App shall be limited to the greater of: (a) the amount you donated to us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD $50 (fifty US dollars).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited (for example, willful misconduct or gross negligence).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ignite Web Studio from any claim, damage, liability, loss or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) your misuse of the App; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) your violation of third-party rights or applicable law.

10. Intellectual property

IgniteClean, its name, logo, brand, design, interface and code are the property of Ignite Web Studio and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or intellectual property, other than the limited license described in Section 3.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes; (b) redistribute, resell, rent or sublicense it as if it were yours; (c) modify, adapt, translate, decompile or reverse-engineer the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by law; (d) remove proprietary notices; or (e) use the App to harm, disable or overload third-party systems or equipment.

12. Donations

IgniteClean is free. You may make voluntary donations to support the project through our payment provider, Stripe. By donating, you acknowledge that:

• The donation is voluntary support, not the purchase of a product, service, feature or additional license.
• Donations are non-refundable, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
• You gain no rights, features, priority support or additional warranties over the App by donating.
• The payment is processed on Stripe’s infrastructure, subject to its own terms and privacy policy.

13. Third-party services

The App and the Site may interact with third-party services, including Stripe (donation processing), Cloudflare (Site hosting and delivery) and Apple / macOS (operating system). We are not responsible for the practices, terms or availability of such third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

14. Updates and availability

We may release updates, fixes or new versions of the App, and may modify, suspend or discontinue the App or the Site (in whole or in part) at any time without liability to you. We are under no obligation to provide support, maintenance or updates.

15. Termination

This license remains in effect until terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the App and delete it. Sections that by their nature should survive (5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 17) shall remain in effect after termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The current version will always be the one published on this page, with its “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to indicate it. Continued use of the App after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States (Mexico), without giving effect to its conflict-of-law rules. Before initiating any action, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith by contacting us at the address in Section 19. If unresolved, any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Mexico, waiving any other jurisdiction that might apply to you.

18. General provisions

• Severability: if any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remainder will stay in full force.
• No waiver: our failure to exercise a right does not constitute a waiver of it.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them, for example, in connection with a merger or transfer of assets.
• Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
